Porcelain Dolls By Laurel
Hand Crafted, Custom Made, Porcelain Dolls

Laurel is a home grown artist from Damascus, Oregon who has always loved art work in many forms. After doing ceramics for many years she wanted to branch out into something more challenging and rewarding. Thus, the love of doll making was born. Although she started making dolls part-time in 1986 as a hobby, it became her full-time occupation in 1999 after retiring from twenty-three years working in corporate America. Becoming a member of The Doll Artisan Guild, doing doll shows and entering doll making contest spread her reputation as an accomplished doll maker. She specializes in American Indian dolls which have taken many awards. After making more than 450 dolls Laurel says, “The greatest compliment I receive is when people tell me that my attention to detail is fantastic. It warms my heart and makes me feel that I have created artistic beauty." "I'm just a country girl who loves making dolls." Her dolls are sold through her website, www.dollsbyLaurel.com on Ebay and Etsy. Word-of-mouth brings many new customers who have heard of her original work and attention to detail. Many customers return for additional dolls for that new grandchild or for their personal doll collection. She has sold dolls and received orders throughout the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Japan and Europe. For Laurel, doll making is a true labor of love. "It is a wonderful thing to do something that one loves that brings such happiness and joy." Visit Laurel's website to learn more.
